Who Will Teach My Child?

The teacher matters more than the instrument. A kid who clicks with their mentor will practice. One who doesn’t won’t.

We have 40+ mentors—all professional musicians who love teaching, background-checked, and picked because they’re good with kids. We’ll match your child by age, personality, and learning style. Not the right fit? We’ll switch until it clicks.

Piano lessons

Great for beginners. Builds music reading, coordination, and a foundation that transfers to any instrument. Ages 6+.

VOICE lessons

Helps kids find confidence—not just pitch. Whether shy or stage-ready, lessons meet them where they are. Ages 6+.

guitar lessons

Acoustic, electric, or bass. Kids stay engaged because they’re playing songs they choose. Ages 6+.

Drum lessons

High energy, great for focus and coordination. We teach on real kits—no practice pads. Ages 6+.

STRING lessons

Violin, viola, cello, fiddle. Requires patience but builds discipline and ear training. Ages 6+ (younger with approval).

UKULELE LESSONS

Easiest entry point. Small hands welcome. Quick wins keep kids motivated. Ages 6+.

My daughter started with ROOTS music with a summer camp and continued with vocal and songwriting lessons throughout the year . Her mentors are excellent and she’s getting such a great education. She’s getting the perfect combination of techniques and skills while her mentors help her find her own voice and prepare her for what she wants to do in the future with music. The staff and mentors are so helpful, friendly and encouraging. We highly recommend ROOTS!

The BEST what you can get in this area! And I really mean it.
Doesn´t matter if you take voice, instrument or dance class, you will get the bets. My daughter takes music lessons for 3 years and I would never change.
And the band program is just cool, the kids feel like rock stars!
Can´t wait for another showcase on your stage!

Roots is such a special place! My granddaughter has been playing guitar for a few years and we decided to try Roots. The staff and kids are so friendly and welcoming. She loves her teachers and the band members. Also enjoy the professional entertainers and guest speakers they have to come in to work with the kids. I feel it is more than just giving a lesson in music but life as well. We look forward to coming back after summer break.

I can not say enough great things about this place. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell they care about the kids and about how they progress in developing musical skills. My son has taken guitar lessons from Matt for the 4 months and has really enjoyed it.

Roots Dance Studio has been such a gift to our family. Over the past four seasons, my daughter has grown tremendously not only in her dance and music skills, but in her confidence, resilience, and mindset. From piano lessons to company rehearsals, her mentors have encouraged curiosity, exposed her to different styles of the arts, and helped her believe in herself.

What makes Roots truly special is the community. Lessons start at $165/month for weekly 30-minute sessions. There’s a $50 registration fee at enrollment. But first—try a lesson and see if it’s the right fit.
