Ben’s musical journey began at the age of five, when he first started taking piano lessons. His mother encouraged him to give it a try, and soon, the piano became an integral part of his identity. As he grew, so did his love for music, expanding into vocal performances that enriched his high school and college years. His high school piano teacher played a pivotal role in this, creating an atmosphere of productive fun that Ben now mirrors in his own teaching. For Ben, music is more than just notes and rhythms; it’s a family legacy. His family’s unwavering support has been the cornerstone of his musical path, and he carries this nurturing spirit into his teaching. He understands the challenges of learning an instrument, having faced them himself. This empathy fuels his desire to make the learning process enjoyable and rewarding for his students. At ROOTS Academy, Ben’s approach is as diverse as the genres he specializes in—Pop, Jazz, Country, and Classical. He is committed to understanding each student’s unique learning style, ensuring that lessons are both structured and engaging. His goal is not just to teach music, but to instill a love for it that students carry throughout their lives.
Outside of teaching, Ben is a recording artist who recently released his first single, channeling his creativity into songwriting and performance. When he’s not making music, he loves volleyball, reading, and travel!
