About Savannah

Savannah Chowning has called Franklin, Tennessee, home her entire life — and for the past 15 years, she has called ROOTS Academy home too. Beginning her dance training at the age of four, Savannah grew up within the walls of this studio, developing her artistry in ballet, tap, and jazz, honing her technique, and discovering a deep and lasting love for the art form.
Now 19 years old and fresh off graduating from the very program she grew up in, Savannah is stepping into her next chapter as a preschool and toddler dance instructor at ROOTS. She is passionate about creating a warm, joyful environment where the youngest dancers feel safe exploring, growing, and falling in love with movement. For Savannah, teaching is not just a role; it is an opportunity to pour back into the community and the studio that shaped everything she is as a dancer and a person.
